The Samaritan House is the nation’s first building specifically built to serve those experiencing homelessness. Located in Denver’s ballpark neighborhood, the facility provides meals and a safe shelter, accompanied by expert staff, to help patrons 365 days a year. The 44,000-square-foot, three-floor building provides 40 dorm-style beds. Donations, volunteers, and special events focus on love and healing.

A.D. Miller worked with the Samaritan House to renovate the occupied facility over three years. The scope of work included adding a patio and canopy to the existing 2^nd floor, a perimeter fence, and a new elevator exterior freight. The secure rooftop area has a playground for kids and covered outdoor seating spaces that capture stunning views of the ballpark area. The building’s masonry exterior provides the Samaritan House with a low-maintenance façade that will serve the foundation with minimal upkeep. On the interior, A.D. Miller delivered clean, modern, and safe amenities where children can adapt and laugh. The facility was proudly built with security and cleanliness in mind, where veterans, families, and single women can face life’s challenges, adapt, and role model a successful outcome.
