Motel-to-employee-housing conversion providing quality housing for essential workers
Project Overview
This project transforms an 18,579-square-foot motel into employee housing for the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority. Each room now includes kitchens with commercial millwork, glass top ranges, convection microwaves, and solid surface countertops.
Renovations involved rewiring, new HVAC units, and full sprinkler and fire alarm installations. All plumbing fixtures were upgraded, and each building is equipped with two new Rinnai water heating systems.
A new 12-unit coin-operated laundry facility was added, along with a renovated outdoor patio featuring a gas grill and landscaped lawn area. The project provides quality housing for RFTA employees who keep Colorado mountain communities connected.
