Creating Spaces for Active Living
Project Overview
Situated close to Centennial Airport in Centennial, Colorado, Prospects Park is a unique indoor baseball training solution for kids and professional athletes. This warehouse design/build tenant finish project meticulously retrofitted a mundane space into a vibrant baseball training facility. The owners started with a dream and a vision to transform skill sets, opening many doors to the professional baseball circuit.
AD Miller infilled and transformed this sizable warehouse space into an amazing flex-space indoor baseball field, four batting cages, several pitching mound cages, an advanced training workout fitness exercise equipment area, and a conference room. Two columns in the middle of the space were removed to make way for the field. New foundations with four-foot-tall footings and new HVAC system were installed.
The facility’s viewing area glazed wall overlooks the training facility. Also, it offers a plethora of closed-circuit TV monitors so that parents can keep an eye on the developmental skills and progress of these future baseball stars while balancing their work-life expectations and needs. A.D.
Miller coordinated the subs who installed a complex set of safety netting, suspended by unique cabling and uni-strut support systems seamlessly attached to the building’s structural beams. A.D. Miller skillfully orchestrated the transformation of grungy warehouse space into a clean, well-illuminated space.
The lighting and electrical were upgraded to create a bright space, perfect for honing skills and learning from Prospects Park’s expert coaching staff.
