Primrose School – Sterling Ranch

Primrose School - Sterling Ranch

Primrose School at Sterling Ranch is located south of Chatfield Reservoir in metro Denver. This freestanding building and site development project was developed from the ground up by AD Miller. It was constructed in a fast-track manner where AD Miller guided and worked closely with the owner and architect to develop budget-sensitive solutions. This brick-veneered school pays homage to classical school design lines from the past. This wood-framed structure offered Primrose School an efficient building envelope that’s classic. It’s familiar, inviting, practical, and fits right into the context of the new neighborhood. The building’s playful fenestration allows natural light to flood into classrooms, with the west windows capturing views of the front range.

The school provides welcoming spaces with safety and security in the front. They worked closely with suppliers and vendors for many of the specialty casework items, outdoor playground areas, and countless custom fixtures that are tailored to the school’s playful future world changers. Several school rooms have uplifting vaulted ceilings, and there’s even a stage to deliver performances.AD Miller developed the site with surface parking, circulation, landscaping, and fenced-in playground spaces for children on time and on budget. The building with its time-tested material palette will serve its students well.  This project was delivered on time for a hard opening date.
