Project Overview
On Tap Credit Union was created by repurposing a former mechanic shop building. AD Miller thoughtfully worked with the architect to expose the interior and celebrate the building's rich history as one of the remaining storefronts near Olde Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada's walking district. Installing efficient and modern storefront glazing system and storefront exterior canopies were added to offer protection from the weather and dress the garage door openings, respecting the classic look of the building but updating it with a modern twist.
Masons meticulously added egress doors into the existing brick façade that preserved this building's vintage look. On Tap Credit Union took the interesting approach of preserving the roll-up garage door to engage with clients and bring vibrancy to the local community. The glass shop door is rolled up on warm days, creating an inviting space where the public can engage with bank staff and develop long-lasting relationships at the main street level.
