Highland Heritage Regional Park – Outdoor Stage

Highland Heritage Regional Park - Outdoor Stage

This 96-acre park offers soccer/football fields, picnic shelters with concessions, an off-leash dog park, 14.76 acres of multi-purpose bluegrass fields, 3 miles of concrete trail, playgrounds, and an amphitheater that hosts summer concert series, as well as firework displays. The focal point of the outdoor complex is an amphitheater shade structure with an 8,000-square-foot stage that AD Miller constructed.
AD Miller executed the construction of this complex-shaped shade structure boasting a compound roof design with cascading slats made of rigid metal components in a butterfly shape. The shade structure balances on cast-in-pace columns, which were critically important to position correctly. The resulting design appears to float effortlessly, creating an exquisite sense of place and a focal point for future concertgoers.
