Douglas County Parks and Trails Administration Building
Building Community Gathering Places
Project Overview
The playful, modern design of the addition complements the existing building’s CMU banding with other linear elements. A standing seam metal roof doubles as a covered entry and a sunshade for the front-facing glass curtain wall allows winter-season natural light to filter into the space. Pergo floors were used in the cubicle spaces to provide a modern look that is easy to maintain. A break room provides an on-site retreat space for Douglas County Parks Department staff.
