Colorado Railroad Museum

The Colorado Railroad Museum Library is a popular tourist attraction opened throughout the year in Golden, Colorado. The museum offers visitors information and exhibits showcasing the history of railroading in Colorado dating back to the 1800’s. The new construction of this museum included a library, board room, private study rooms and a terperature and humidty controlled storage area for valuabl historic pieces. The construction of the core and shell of the museum consisted of spread footings, slab on grade, a post and beam frame, UV resistant windows, brick veneer and composition asphalt shingles ont he roof.
